Summary: In the traditional mode of multimedia were basically stimulated by vision and hearing, be reading a book, listening a music, watching a movie or viewing pictures. A new horizon of possibilities to increase Quality of Experience (QoE) is emerging: the media with Multiple Sensory Effects (MulSeMedia), which aims stimulating other human senses such as mechanoreceptors, chemoreceptors and thermoceptors. Recent works has indicated significant gains in user satisfaction in this order, that is related to the user pleasure
from memory influences of the formation of experience. Existing solutions for reproducing sensory effects have embedded control of actuators in timeline-based applications and not support re-use in other application types or different media players. This work presents the PlaySEM, a platform that brings a new approach for rendering sensory effects in home environment of unbound mode of the Media Player and compatible with the MPEG-V standard, considering requirements reuse and mobility. Conjectures are tested about your architecture, focusing mainly on the decoupled approach to render sensory effects.
